Born in Warsaw, Poland, in 1981, Wojtek Jakubiec immigrated with his family to Canada in 1987 after spending 4 years in North Africa.

While living in Montreal, in the past 10 years he traveled in West African and European countries where he developed an interest in photographing daily routine life of people in different cultures and environments. His most recent work takes place in Mexico.

In 2008, he enrols in the Commercial Photography program at Dawson College in Montreal. where he orients his work towards documentary and photojournalism.

He is presently freelancing and available for assignments.
